DKBottomline is a RSS Reader.
Once you setup your RSS feeds the Headlines from them will scroll by on the
bottom of your computer's screen. You can click on each headline which will then
open that webpage so you can read more.
Uses:
- Ideal for getting your favorite RSS feeds automatically without having to scan
over all the headlines one at a time.
- Keep up to date on the latest news, entertainment or any other
information that has a RSS feed.
Options:
- Create/Delete your own named RSS lists to store RSS feed URLs based on
catagory.
- Add/Remove RSS URLs from any list.
- You can have one RSS feed update every 15 minutes.
- Can automatically rotate through each RSS feed (URL) every 15 minutes.
- Hide/Show DKBottomline, from it's tray icon in the system tray.
- Toggle/display DKBottomline between the
Primary and Secondary monitors (if you have two monitors).
Functionality:
- Reads RSS/XML Feeds from the Internet.
- Scrolls RSS Feeds along the bottom of your screen.
- Can have multiple copies running at once.
- Pause the headlines from moving when the mouse cursor is placed over
it.
- Click on a scrolling headline to open that headline's webpage.
- Will connect through proxy if your computer accesses the internet through
one.

shows a popup balloon displaying the Caps Lock, Insert and Num Lock key's
status of the keyboard
Uses:
DK:Keyboard - Status
will show a popup balloon above it's icon in the system tray when the Caps
Lock, Insert or Num Lock key's are pressed.
For example: The
balloon displays either: Caps Lock is ON or Caps Lock is OFF.
Options: None at this time.
Functionality:

Resides
in memory waiting for the one of the keys to be pressed in order to display
it's status of either On or Off.

DK:KeyboardState will make a sound when Caps Lock is On or Off (everytime the Caps Lock button is pressed).

DKHardDrive-Light
monitors the computer's hard drive and Notifies you of activity by blinking
a Red Light on the desktop.
Uses:
Monitor hard drive activity right from your desktop. This is helpful when
the computer's hard drive light is not within view.
Have you ever wanted to know if the computer has locked up or is it just
busy? DKHardDrive-Light gives you a better understanding of what the hard
drive is doing.
Options:
- Monitor your C: drive as well as up to 20 total drives.
- Keep DKHardDrive-Light visible on screen or send it to the system tray.
Functionality:
- Stays on Top of all open applications and operating system windows.
- Monitors hard drive activity.
- Displays file access (created/deleted and changed) in a list as activity occurs.
- An icon for each "monitored" drive will be placed in the sytem tray.
- Left click a drive's icon in the system tray to display the activity window.
- When there is activity on a drive, place the mouse cursor over the icon and it will display the current file or application that is being accessed at that time.

DKMailChecker - Desktop mail notification

DKMailChecker
automatically checks your Outlook inbox for new email messages and
resides in the system tray next to the time on the taskbar.
Uses:
DKMailChecker notifies you when you receive email by displaying an email
alert window in the bottom right corning of the screen. This will display
the number of unread email messages in your inbox and the email subject,
date and time of the most recent new email.
Options:
You can manually check for email or open a new blank email message. To do
this, right click on the DKMailChecker icon in the system tray. This will
show a menu of available options.
Functionality:
DKMailChecker integrates with Outlook which allows it to access your inbox
to check if you have email without having to open Outlook or keep it open
just to see if you have new email messages.

- Time intervals, for when the inbox is checked for new mail. (See FAQ)
- Stay ontop, or not of all open applications and windows.

DKMenubar is a
Customizable Menubar that allows you to organize your Desktop, by accessing
your software and other files through DKMenbar's Dynamic Menu system.
DKMenubar resides along the top of your Desktop and the user creates their
own menu labels.
A folder is created for each menu label name.
The first time a menu is clicked on, the user is prompted by notifying them
the Folder was created.
Then the folder will open so the user can add shortcuts or files/folders to
it.
When the user clicks on the menu a dropdown list appears with the files and
shortcuts that were added to that menu's folder.
Each menu's folder can be opened from it's dropdown list.
By default there are three (3) Standard Menu Labels and one sample label
(Testmenu).
It will look like this once it is first run: File Desktop Testmenu Help
1. File, used to manage DKMenubar.
2. Desktop, used to access your desktop icons. Also gives the options to
Hide or Show the desktop icons.
Note the Testmenu item is just there for an example.
3. Help, used to display brief information about DKMenubar.
So for example your Menubar could look like this...

Uses:
- For organizing your desktop work space.
- Get faster access to your most used software applications/programs and
files.
- Minimizes desktop clutter when you select "Hide Desktop icons"
from the Desktop menu.
Options:
- DKMenubar allows the user to change the look to match the Windows
98/2000, XP or Vista themes.
- Hide/Show your Desktop icons.
Functionality:
- Dynamically create your own personal Menubar. - Dynamically creates Menu
labels and Folders to place your software and file shortcuts.
- Quickly access all your software and files from one easy to get to
location on your desktop.
- Launch an application, website or run a System process from the built in
command line box on DKMenubar.

DKNoteMinder is a
small StayOnTop organizer for your notes and functions like a mini Wordpad
for taking notes. Typical operations supported are: cut, copy and paste
(graphics/pictures/text); change font colors, type face and the size of
text; Find and Replace; Web link detection.
Uses:
DKNoteMinder stays on top of all open applications and operating system
windows. This keeps your notes always in view no matter what you are
working with.
Find dates with the
built-in calendar month view. To display the calendar either select
Calendar from the View menu or click on the date shown in the status bar.
Options:
- Translucency level selection.
- Switch to XP Theme (system
colors) versus the default DKNoteMinder color.
- Stay ontop or not,
of all open applications and system windows. Select "Stay on top"
from the Window menu. This will toggle "Stay on top" on and off.
The default is to "Stay on top" (checked).
- Sizeable or not.
The default is not sizeable, you can make it sizeable by clicking
"Sizeable" from the Window menu. This will toggle the window
state (sizeable) on and off.
- After
resizing, bring the window back to it's default size by clicking
"Default" from the Window menu.
Functionality:
DKNoteMinder
is similar to the Wordpad application that comes with MS Windows.
You can save your
notes to a file. The files are saved in "Rich Text Format" (RTF)
in the DKNoteMinder application's "notes" sub directory. The
saved filenames are viewed from the drop down file list by clicking on the
down(v) arrow button (note: the button will then display the up (^) arrow,
for closing the file list).
Files from this list
can be dragged and dropped on to the note taking area to open and show the
file contents. You can also left click on a file name to select it, then
right click and select Open or Delete from the menu to take
action on that file.
If you close
DKNoteMinder from the desktop you can access it again by... right clicking
on the DKNoteMinder icon in the system tray and select DKNoteMinder from
the menu.
To print a file,
select it from the file list, then click "Export" from the File
menu. This will open the selected file into WordPad (it comes with MS Windows
already). Once your file is open, select "Print" from the File
menu in WordPad.

DKOSD shows an "On Screen
Display" about the status of the Caps Lock on the keyboard.
Uses:
DKOSD will show an On Screen Display when the Caps Lock key is pressed. It
displays either: Caps Lock is ON or Caps Lock is OFF
Options:
You can now select the screen position of where the OSD will be displayed.
Right click on DKOSD's icon in the system tray (bottom right corner next to
the time).

Select either Center or Bottom of screen.
- Turn Sound on or off.
-
If you have two monitors/extended desktop you can choose to have the Caps
Lock Status show in "Screen 2".
Functionality:

DKOSD
resides in memory waiting for the Caps Lock key to be pressed in
order to display the status of it, either On or Off.

It will make a sound when Caps Lock is on or off (every time
the Caps Lock button is pressed).

DKOSD's system tray icon will
reflect the caps lock state: A =

DKPrint Screen will
take a screen shot of your desktop when you press the "Print
Screen" button on your keyboard and then sends it to the printer.

shot to a file.
- DKPrint Screen can
be set to load everytime Windows Starts.
Uses:
- Print or save your desktop (screen shot) as a file.
Options:
- Save screen shot as a file.
- Set DKPrint Screen to load at startup.
Functionality:
- DKPrint Screen runs as an icon in the system tray waiting for you to
press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Right click on the icon for
a menu of options.

DKRuler is a sizable
drag and drop horizontal, vertical and translucent ruler for your
computer's desktop. DKRuler stays on top of all applications and file
system windows.
Uses:
Keep your position on screen when reading and working with documents. Align
& organize text, graphics and other objects on screen.
Options:
You can display a picture of your choice on the standard ruler instead of
the default graphic. Hide the standard ruler when DKRuler loads (still
accessible in the system tray).
Functionality:
DKRuler runs in the system tray next to the time in your taskbar. To access
the different rulers, you right click on its icon in the system tray. You
can also right click on each open ruler for a menu of options.

DKStockTicker displays
user selected stock prices (Last price) and whether it has gone up or
down.
Uses:
- Track and know what your stocks are doing.
Options:
- Create/Delete your own named Stock lists (MyStocks, TechStocks, etc.) to
organize your different industry stocks.
- Add/Remove Stock Symbols from
each list.
- You can have the selected
Stock list update every 5 minutes.
- Hide/Show DKStockTicker from it's tray icon
menu in the system tray.
- Toggle/display DKStockTicker between the
Primary and Secondary monitors (if you have two monitors).
Functionality:
- Pulls Stock prices through the Internet.
- Scrolls Stock Symbols, Last
price and +/- Change values along the bottom of your screen.
- Can have multiple DKStockTicker copies running at once.
- Pause the scrolling Stock

symbol to view more detailed information (may

DKVolume Control
gives the user instant access for adjusting the sound volume.
Uses:
DKVolume Control stays on top of all open application and operating system
windows. This allows you to mute or adjust the volume no matter what you
are working on.
Options:
Right click within the DKVolume Control window to show a menu of options...
- Select the level of
translucency so you can see through it or make almost invisible.
- Select Background color.
- Select Foreground color.
- Select to make DKVolume Control to not stay on top, by selecting
"Stay on Top", this will toggle "Stay on Top" on and
off. The default is to "Stay on top" (checked).
- Select "Mute on Exit" if you want to mute the sound when
closing DKVolume Control.
Functionality:
- Resides in the system tray (next to the time). Left click on DKVolume
icon to access.
- Hotkey access (press Ctrl + Up(arrow), then press up or down arrow keys)
once DKvolume is running.
- Adjust sound volume.
- Colored bar reflects sound level.
- Mute sound.
- Resize DKVolume Control.
- Remembers the last Back/Fore color, screen location and Tranculent %
settings.
